Over the last few days, I’ve been rescanning all of the film I shot this year for the sake of file consistency. I’ll be posting a lot more now that I’ve got all of my stuff done. I’ll be shooting a lot of available light portraits this summer, but until I get all of that shot, scanned, and edited, you’ll be seeing photos I’ve shot over the course of my second year in the photography program. This is Joanna, shot early this academic year.

Recently, I had the opportunity to shoot with Marc Lecompte, the owner of the Princess Café in Waterloo, ON. Marc’s cafe has won numerous awards for their food and most recently the 2012 “Outstanding Entrepreneur Award” for food & hospitality in the Waterloo Region. I really appreciate shooting such great food served by such great people.

This series is based on the insecurities and tensions that arise from lack of communication. When words are needed, but not said, conclusions are drawn and can cause more damage than intended.

I was out shooting with a good friend of mine on Saturday night. We were running around Hamilton and shooting the landscape. I saw this while setting up the Blad for a shot in the Devil’s Punch Bowl, where a giant white cross overlooks the valley, into the Golden Horseshoe.

Remember when I used to post photos? I should probably start doing that again.
This is the first shot from a roll of film I shot a few weeks ago. I’m documenting the Kitchener-Waterloo music scene on Ilford Delta 3200 not only for the low lighting, but for the gritty atmosphere that comes with this highly sensitive film.
